Good Vibes at Kiva

This week, KTSW hosted their first Third Thursday of the fall semester at Kiva, located by the square. This weeks performers were Lizard Queen and Fertility House followed by Wezmer who performed at the end in order to wrap everything up. The venue is kind of small, which is just perfect for those intimate live performances

Lizard Queen were the first to take over the stage at around 9 p.m. They filled the room with their fuzzy, distorted, stoner riffs, that slowly developed into more of a stoner metal kind of feel.

Next on stage was Fertility House from Austin, Texas. They managed to evoke this warm,

cheerful, jumpy kind of progressive vibe with the crowd that just made people sing along with the chorus.

And last, but certainly not least was Wezmer, also from San Marcos, Texas. This progressive band was very peaceful with drastic outburst of chaos that had the crowd jumping around in one huge mosh-pit. Very energetic, very loving, just an absolute hoot.

Overall, this Third Thursday was full of positive energy and good vibes. Stay tuned for KTSW’s next Third Thursday which will be taking place on the 18th of October.
